###

After, +1 month without traveling on the road it was scary to get back to that life again. Sayulita and Guadalajara really got me in a comfort zone. For example, I had a bed to sleep, a kitchen to cook, and friends to talk and laugh with. I mean: wildcamping, weather, traffic, putting my life on risk, and loneliness didn’t sound so fun again…but oh well..

The third stage of this route was to get from Guadalajara to San Miguel de Allende. It will cover 344 km of pure unknown madness. The plan was to split every leg in 110 km per day to arrive in 3 days..

Tour day came, woked up at 5:00am to get rollin at 6am. Drank a cup of coffee and pump my favorite music to get that high just to find out my bike had no breaks and one of the rims were broken.

Now, I was really really nervous…the plan to start off at 6 and get less traffic ..was not going to be a success.

Had to wait till 10ish for a bike shop to open in Guadalajara and Charly, the shop owner got my babe fix and ready in a couple of minutes..

Now I was ready to roll!!

Black coffee and green juice in the morning! Try it! High, energy, and healthy!

Thanks Charly! In case you are in Guadalajara and need a bike job…visit this guy!!

Guadalajara

Guadalajara, Jalisco…an enormous city for my guts! Since I’m coming from a small city and cruising around beach towns…spending my last days in here has been kinda of shocking! Starting off with the traffic, people everywhere, and long walks to get to the closest store. Yet, I’m enjoying my stance in this place by visiting natural and sport faculties, tourist attractions, local bars, and the sketchy crowded downtown.

Where: Guadalajara, Jalisco

(2nd biggest metropolitan area behind Mexico City)

What to visit/do:

Colomos Park (free and relaxing)

Walk around Chapultepec Avenue.

Get lost in Mercado Juan de Dios.

Go around Plaza de Mariachis.

Dance off at Bar Americas.

Drink and save your budget at Cerveceria Chapultepec. Everything at 18 pesos..yes, food n drinks!

Have a cozy Sunday at Garden, an edgy spot by Chapultepec Ave where you can also drink and eat..a lil bit fancy though!

Joselito, good music..people and mezcal! Diff promo everyday!

And..well you can do more…just like any big city, there is always an activity or place to discover..

Basically get ready to spend some money, eat, drink, and dance a lot.

Though there is also chill activities to do like sports and stuff. For example, on Sundays the main avenue is closed for cyclists, runners, skaters, and anyone who wants to roll and sweat some calories!

If you are into big cities and in Mexico, don’t forget to visit Guadalajara…eat birria and drink tequila! Oh…and download Uber.

Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque, Jalisco one of the biggest suburbs around Guadalajara. An easy and cool getaway from Guadalajara´s crazyness! Tlaquepaque has a bunch of things to offer. For example, an old church to visit and watch around…a small colorful plaza where you can chill or eat a pop at, a free museum, several boutiques and last but not least…lots of good food and snacks to eat! Therefore, if you are in Guadalajara don´t miss this place…

Where: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco (10km away from Chapultepec Ave.)

You can get by bus or bike…super bike friendly with a special roadside for us, top!

When: A cool Sunday getaway for sure!

What to do? Visit the Regional Ceramic Museum, which is totally free. Cruise around the plaza and if you are feeling guilty go to the local church.

(everything is relatively close)

Cool up: Please stop at Gavilan Cantina, refresh yourself with a craft beer, drink, or anything you wish!

(Walkside bar with edgy music to enjoy to)

Tlaq n roll!!
